At this month's club meeting it was decided to change the way in which the Monthly Motivational Themes will be run. Instead of choosing a theme for the next month at each monthly meeting, we decided that we will issue a set of monthly themes for the whole year. The list is given lower down this page.
This means that, instead of members having to take photographs in the month preceding a meeting, they will now have between now and the month in question to take their photos. I would ask, however, that you wait until the month in question before submitting the images for that month, as I will only get confused if I get entries months in advance.
The theme chosen for the February meeting is an Open Theme. This means that members are free to choose any images, no matter what the subject, taken since this month's meeting for submission for the February slideshow. So members can send in up to three photographs taken between now and the next meeting for inclusion in the sideshow. Members are reminded to try to resize their images to 1024 pixels on their longest edge, and send them to the club's address (firstname.lastname@example.org) by midnight, Tuesday 11th February.
(Tony Murphy of Boyle Camera Club has uploaded a video to YouTube showing how to resize images using Picasa that you may find useful. You should be able to view it here)
